The Western New York Vascular Society has been a leading forum for collaboration and advancement in vascular surgery for over 30 years. Our group is made up of a diverse range of professionals, including private practice and University-based physicians, APP’s, nurses, and vascular ultrasound technicians. Recently, we have also extended our membership to include endovascular technicians, vascular scrub technicians, and vascular medical assistants. Our goal as a society is to share knowledge, experiences, and skills in order to maintain a strong presence in the region. Additionally, we are committed to educating our colleagues in the medical field about vascular disease and its treatment in order to advance our exciting and ever-changing discipline. The Western New York Vascular Society Annual Seminar is a continuing medical education (CME) program that teaches vascular skills that are essential for effectively managing acute patients in a range of healthcare settings, including hospitals, critical care units, emergency departments, outpatient clinics, and prehospital environments. This seminar is intended for hospitalists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and emergency and critical care nurses who may encounter vascular situations in their practice. It offers a structured and systematic approach to caring for critically ill patients, with a focus on high-risk, low-frequency skills that can save lives. The seminar combines interactive case-based lectures with academic lectures, led by experienced faculty who share their expertise and philosophy on vascular care.
